Last week was one of the busiest weeks that we have ever had. We had multiple things going on each day, and it felt like we were away from the house more than we were home. I hate that usually, but last week was full of all good things, and even though it made me a little frantic at times, I wouldn't have left anything out. Two of the things going on were school events. The first was field day on Wednesday and the second was Graham's field trip to the zoo.
I was told very specifically that I was not to go to field day to cheer on Nate. Because what could be more embarrassing than having your mom come to field day? Graham on the other hand had big smiles for me when he saw me. I was only able to watch him participate in 2 events in the morning, and then in the afternoon I was volunteering at one of the stations so I was stuck there, and couldn't watch him. Jesse was able to come and watch both of the boys, because Nate would die if his mom was there, but it was OK to have dad come.
Then on Friday we went to the zoo. Jesse had the day off, and he drove down with Olivia to meet us there. We hung out with our other friends who live in the neighborhood, go to our church and are all in the same class at school. We got to see pretty much everything, and only lost the kids once! (It was pretty nerve wracking at one point because we really could not find them. When they finally saw us they were pretty scared too.)
Olivia, Graham, Bailey, Liam and Lilly playing with the monkey statue.
That is one happy field trip boy!!! He had a great time!
The rest of last week was mostly spent with family. My aunt and uncle were in town at the beginning of the week, so I saw them on Tuesday, and then we went to dinner with them, as well as my brother and his family. Jesse's brother Luke and his family were also in town, so I spent Thursday with them, as well as Wednesday evening. Add soccer practice, and a Saturday tournament, book club, a birthday, and a different birthday party, and then just the normal things that need to get done in order for us to not be shunned from society, and it was a jam-packed week!
