At Olivia's 4 month check up the doctor was not all that impressed with her weight gain. Her height to weight ratio had fallen off the bottom of the chart, so among other things, the doctor wanted her to start on rice cereal. The first time was a success, and she seemed to be getting a little into her stomach, so we have kept on doing it. At times I wish we didn't have to deal with this yet- it's just so messy! But, she needs to grow, and we had to start it eventually, so we just keep on doing it.

There is always a lot of bib eating,

and finger sucking,

and even thumb sucking. (In the past month Olivia has become a thumb sucker, which is kind of nice since she rejected the
paci, but all the same, Nate is now 5 and I still have not gotten him to quit.)
So grow grow grow little girl, It's OK to be petite, but you gotta get back up on those charts!

I'm so glad my doctor isn't crazy about charts and stuff. Andrew is weighing in at 15 pounds. I believe he's my smallest one yet. Which means that by the time he turns one, he will not have doubled his birth weight!
Grow baby Olivia!
