I would like to know....

Why my 3 year old is all of the sudden obsessed with going around naked? This is the child that has freaked out if he was not fully clothed at all times. This is the same child that was so attached to his diaper a few years ago that when you took it off he was paralyzed. He could not even walk across the hallway to the bathtub. And now he strips down to his undies several times a day before he decides he is chilly and wants his clothes back on. I've got some great blackmail pics though. I have one I'd like to title, my son, the underwear model. I won't post any, because well, I have moral objections to having pictures like that on the internet :). What a weird kid though...

My own personal economic stimulus pacakge

So right now GM has Discover cash cards in some of their cereal boxes. Yesterday I found a $5 gift card. Yea! I'm a winner!
So you may ask what I plan to spend my winnings on. Well, It is the other thing that I am excited about right now. I have decided that our newest tradition is going to be having Dunkin Donuts on General Conference weekend. MMMMMmmmmmmm donuts...... I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm excited for Conference as well, but I have found that I can hardly wait until Saturday morning when I get to go to the store and pick out some donuts. I'm most excited about the toasted coconut cake donuts. Oh, it's going to be great!
And to work off the donuts? Well, I signed up for two races recently. I'm going to run a 5K with the Frederick running festival the first weekend in May, and I also signed up for the Baltimore half marathon. I have signed up, so now I have to do it. But man I can't wait for those donuts.
(Oh, and in case anyone is keeping track, the Dunkin Donuts that burned down near my house 2 years ago is no closer to being rebuilt than it was 2 years ago, so I will have to go half way across town in order to get my donuts. Oh well.)

Then and Now

Yesterday I thought that just for kicks and giggles I would put Graham into the sweater he wore last Easter. It fit. Granted it was large when I got it, a 6-9 mos size for a 4 month old. But all the same, here he is both years. I couldn't find last year's Easter pics on the computer, so you'll have to see the little one copied from our picassa album.

By George, He's got it!

So I think that Nate is all the way potty trained at this point. (Well, except for night time, but that doesn't really count.) Today he peed while he was in Costco. (in the potty) and he pooped in the big potty. I think we're there! So I'm pretty excited about that. Once he got it, he really has not had accidents at all. He hasn't peed his pants in about a month. So now for the thing you all will be most excited about, that means that you don't have to read any more posts about potty training! Yea for you!
And some other random pics of Graham. He loves his baby Tad, and this large monkey he got for Christmas. One morning I got him out of bed, and he saw his blanket in the hallway, so he made me get that, and then he grabbed his other blanket that was in bed with him, and then handed me Tad, and then the monkey. I was having trouble holding all of that stuff, but then he decided that he wanted to get out as well. My arms were quite full. But he's so cute that I'll do it for him.

Not much to report

Well, both of the kids are independently entertained, and I'm kind of bored, so I'm going to post. We really have not had much going on over here lately. March has been a boring month. It's been colder than I would have liked, so there is strike one. Then there was the whole thing with Nate starting to poop his pants. There was strike two.
But it appears that we're on the mend. Today it is supposed to be in the mid 60's, and then stay in the 60's. I'll take that. Of course, Next week is April.
And this week Nate started pooping on the potty again, so that is happy. I hope that this time it sticks. I guess I just have to be more diligent against backsliding this time. Plus, with the development of his being able to use a public bathroom we don't have to put a diaper on him every time we want to go somewhere for more than an hour or so. So that is a major step forward.
Other than that, I feel like I have been at the church about every day this month. With Enrichment night at the beginning of the month, and then a newly formed exercise group meeting at the church twice a week, as well as various other things that have caused Nate to ask every morning if we are going to the church to play.
Speaking of which, I need some ideas. Those of you who are Mormon out there- what Enrichment activities have you seen that have been really good? I need more ideas.
So this weekend, I have a training meeting down at the Bishop's storehouse on the other side of DC, and then next weekend is Conference, and the following week is Easter. Wow! I can't believe that April is almost here. About time!
In other news, I expect to be receiving some sort of an award for the discovery that I made this past month. I have finally figured out when babies turn into toddlers. A baby no long looks like a baby when he or she grows a neck. I discovered that the other day, that Graham no longer looks like a baby because his neck has grown more distinct. Think about it, and you'll know that I'm right.
Anyway, the kids are not so independently entertained anymore, so I'd better go.

A Random tidbit

So Graham has learned to shake his head no. He does it a lot when you offer him something that he doesn't want. Or if you ask if he wants to take a nap. He's really cute when he does it, because it's not sassy or obnoxious yet. So I was just asking him if he was a cutie pie, and every time he shook his head no. I guess he doesn't want to be classified as anything babyish.
So I know it's been a while since I have posted, but there really has not been a lot going on. Nothing worth reporting about anyway. We had some snow the first week of March, it was actually the most snow we have gotten all year, or last year for that matter. We got about 2 inches. If that. :) My mom got about 6 though, so when we went to her house Nate had tons of fun playing in it.
So Nate took about nine tenths of the pictures that were on the camera this month. He's actually getting pretty good at getting people's heads and everything.
One day we watched Lizzie crawl down into the leg of Nate's snow pants. Nate took about a billion pictures after this one shot. It almost could be made into a flip book.
Here Nate and Graham share their favorite toy. I got it out recently for Graham, but Nate thought that it was probably still his.
And finally, you can see that Graham's hair is actually going curly in the back. Something we don't show very often.
